Since MEDSEEK was founded in 1996 on the premise that the Internet could improve the collaboration between healthcare providers and patients, we have pioneered with hundreds of organizations to engage and activate patients online. The eHealth Excellence Award program is designed to recognize organizations for their innovation and cultural commitment to improving the patient experience using digital health solutions.
Why Should You Participate?
MEDSEEK client organizations that wish to serve as thought leaders in the eHealth industry and who wish to attract the attention of ePatients in their communities should participate in this awards program. In addition to receiving the eHealth Excellence Award, $1,000 in MEDSEEK Gold Certificates, and the official Seal of Excellence which can be used on their website(s), nominees will receive publicity in the form of published case studies, white papers, press releases and industry publications.
2013 eHealth Excellence Award Categories
eHealth Excellence Award – Patient Engagement
This category recognizes organizations for excellence in deploying personal health records, patient self-service applications and digital health transaction solutions. Winners should be making progress towards meeting Meaningful Use objectives for engaging patients.
eHealth Excellence Award – Consumer Engagement
This category recognizes organizations for excellence in eye-catching site design and overall ability to extend the organization’s brand online. Award winners will demonstrate excellence in site content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity and overall experience.
eHealth Excellence Award – Social Engagement
This category recognizes organizations for excellence in embracing social marketing channels and platforms to extend their brand, drive new revenues and realize new cost savings.
eHealth Excellence Award – Physician Engagement
This category recognizes organizations for excellence in forging and maintaining relationships with physicians and the effective use of technology to influence patient outcomes and satisfaction by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of physicians.
eHealth Excellence Award – Wellness Outreach and Disease Management
This category recognizes a specific wellness outreach campaign and/or Disease Management Outreach campaign utilizing precision marketing technology (CRM). Winners will demonstrate the ability to reach patients and prospects with certain disease or disease propensities with targeted campaigns to schedule preventative care and/or better manage their disease states. Materials for submission will include examples of campaign design and research process and finished campaign materials with an explanation of ROMI.
eHealth Excellence Award – Service Line Marketing
This category recognizes a specific Service Line campaign. Winners will demonstrate their use of technology to identify market problem and execution on campaign goals. Deliverables will include finished campaign materials and explanation of overall outcome with ROMI.
eHealth Excellence Award – Mobile Engagement
This category recognizes superior mobile strategy and follow-through by a healthcare organization. Winners will demonstrate effective use of mobile site design and/or responsive design applications for their facility.
eHealth Excellence Award – Employee Engagement
This category recognizes organizations for excellence in deploying a robust intranet that cost effectively supports the education and ongoing development of all levels of staff. Focus will be on the Intranet’s contribution to improving employee efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction.
eHealth Excellence Award – Search
This category recognizes organizations that are using advanced search engine optimization and eMarketing tactics to increase both their brand awareness and their site traffic. Winners will be able to demonstrate specific SEO and eMarketing campaigns and their impact on site traffic and/or hospital bookings.
Overall eHealth Excellence Award*
This category recognizes an organization for outstanding vision and organizational commitment to using eHealth technology to strategically engage and manage their online patient populations. *Please note that no external nominations will be accepted for the Overall eHealth Excellence Award.
